Dartmouth Cancer Center would not be able to provide the level of life-saving research and critical patient and family support services that help patients live longer, healthier lives without The Prouty. The Prouty is not just a fundraiser but a celebration of what is possible when community comes together. We want to recognize a few participants and organizations whose support is particularly impactful.

Heart of The Prouty
So many people contribute to making the Prouty a success. Each year, we honor one of those people for their dedication with the Heart of The Prouty Award. The Heart of the Prouty is so named because it goes to someone who gives their heart and soul to this community, and this year’s recipient definitely fits that description. Keith Ford's dedication to this community goes far beyond the 100 miles he rides on Prouty day. He is a year-round partner and friend to the Prouty, always willing to lend a hand—or a hammer—to help make this event a success. He is talented, reliable, and puts his whole heart into everything he does, and the Prouty is better as a result.
Keith Ford’s deep commitment comes from a lifetime of watching friends and family experience the fear, uncertainty and pain that comes with cancer, and a deep desire to help in whatever way he can. We’re so grateful he chose to channel that energy into this community.
